PINE GROVE, Amador County — Amador County’s air district provides a program intended to help eligible residents replace certain combustion-powered lawn and garden equipment with battery-electric alternatives.
The official Current Programs page explains that applicants must follow district and California Air Resources Board guidelines, with eligible incentives subject to approval and available funds. The county’s page describes a total funding cap of $10,000 per applicant per program year, rather than guaranteeing any individual applicant that amount.
A Pine Grove participation point
The district names Guy’s Saw Center, 19965 Highway 88, Pine Grove, as a participating merchant. It describes a process that may allow an eligible discount when old equipment is surrendered for destruction, avoiding an entirely separate reimbursement transaction in some cases.
How to apply responsibly
Residents should seek program approval before purchasing equipment. The district describes a sequence that includes verifying eligibility, replacing covered equipment, documenting disposal of the combustion-powered unit and providing purchase records. Eligible recycling facilities include the Pine Grove transfer station at 19801 Berry Street.
The existence of a program page does not mean funds remain available to all applicants or that any particular item qualifies. Contact the district for current budget and application requirements before making a purchase.
